Position Summary

As an Evanston Advisors Client Service Advisor, you’ll work with clients to help them find solutions to their financial challenges by offering well-researched advice and guidance. You will be responsible for serving the firm’s existing client relationships by answering client inquiries and providing support to the Wealth Advisory team. This position requires excellent customer service and problem solving skills to confidently provide information, research, and education in a timely, efficient, and professional manner. Client Service Advisors provide clear and accurate responses to client inquiries; research and resolve problems relating to client accounts and inquiries; meet established performance expectations; develop a comprehensive operational understanding of the wealth advisory industry; proactively learn and remain up-to-date with advanced financial planning and investment advisory knowledge. Working side-by-side with experienced Wealth Advisors and Portfolio Managers, you’ll be part of a team who will guide you as you learn the business. You’ll have access to a host of tools, resources, and training to develop and sharpen your skills. Evanston Advisors provides paid training for Client Service Advisors to obtain their Series 65 license.  The license must be obtained within the first 120 days of employment.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain long-term relationships with clients
  • Provide the highest level of service by quickly and accurately identifying client needs and articulating the appropriate solution to their questions and / or account-related issues. This includes fact gathering and needs analyses
  • Proactively anticipate situations, identify positive solutions, and develop proposals
  • Successfully communicate with the Wealth Management and Portfolio Management teams, and make use of internal systems and resources to respond to client inquiries
  • Demonstrate knowledge of investments and financial planning and apply key principles appropriately to the individual client's needs
  • Continue to expand personal knowledge and skills through ongoing professional development and joint work with fellow associates
  • Successfully operate in a team environment, and contribute towards departmental and team objectives and goals, including providing support to sales efforts
  • Perform additional duties and tasks that may be required by business needs and conditions
  • Maintain a high level of personal integrity and comply with the Code of Conduct as stated by Evanston Advisors
Required Skills and Experience
  • Strong customer service orientation, including demonstrated sense of urgency and commitment to provide the highest level of service possible

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, with a high degree of quality and reliability
  • Proven ability to grasp and apply complex technical material quickly
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to adapt to client preferences using the art of conversation and active listening
  • Excellent verbal, written, presentation, and organizational skills
  • Strong work ethic, self-motivated, and goal-oriented
  • Demonstrates self-confidence and the ability to maintain composure in difficult situations
  • Bachelor's degree (Finance, Business Management/Administration business related discipline strongly preferred) or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
  • Strong PC skills including familiarity with MS Office, spreadsheets and database management
  • Willing to learn new procedures and seek out new opportunities for growth
  • Successfully pass Series 65 exam (within first 120 days)
